John & Jane’s Recovery Story
Powered by RedCircle
In this episode, we talk with John & Jane (not their real names) about their recovery journey through betrayal and relational healing and how the trauma model changed the trajectory of their healing. This episode is filled with hope for those who are still suffering.
I would like to thank you for sharing this interview with Jane & John. It was right on par on how the way I felt when this all went down with my husband & myself. It’s amazing to hear the story unfold by listening to another couple go through the identical walk that we went through & to have the light shine through the tunnel when you choose to get the correct help from all the resources that are out there. Thank you
Thank you, Laura. That was our hope for this episode. We want couples to know that with the right help, there is hope for recovery.
How can we contact the Doctors? I heard them mention at end of podcast , we could contact them to find help nearby.
Hello Alexis,
Thank you for reaching out. You can find therapists on https://iitap.com/ or you can also try https://www.apsats.org/.
Hope that is helpful for you.
I have left my marriage and am in the midst of getting a divorce ftes, affairs, sexting/hook ups, posting himself on websites. For the first year after discovery I tried to find a way back to him, did individual counselling weekly but his narcissistic traits, control of our money, intimidate/manipulative approaches scared and still scare me. He has continued therapy on his own but he could not feel my deep pain and/or deal with my traumatic responses. I felt he was covertly trying to blame me. My question: where do I go for help when I am not getting back with my husband. I am traumatized and he is being extremely controlling with our money as we go through divorce proceedings. I am very scared and live in a constant state of anxiety. We have a 16 yr old daughter and 18 year old autistic son (living with me) who are also struggling with the implosion of our family. I have a no contact boundary and only email around care/sharing of our teenagers.
